Would have been neat if they had kept him in Coast City and then, in a twist, used Alan Scott instead of Hal Jordan. The Alan Scott Green Lantern was always more keys into the mystic stuff since his ring is generally described as having magical powers instead of space god powers, so he could have been Ollie’s approach

Yes, but after looking at what they’ve put out so far, are we sure anyone involved in this DC Cinematic Universe has actually read any comics?

I mean Flash comics have long been that way too. Barry’s got a great rogues’ gallery, but when fit really hits the shan in his life, there tends to be another speedster involved somehow. Reverse Flash murdering Iris, Barry murdering Reverse Flash on his wedding day, Meeting Jay Garrick and discovering Earth 2 and so on

Looks reasonable

Will it all last?

Yeah fine, but what about Jesse Quick?

So someone adopted the dog to save it from Michael Bay right?

Yes. I’m willing to bed that shirtless violent Trump supporters with bad tattoos all over the country will read that blurb and nod in understanding

Oh good, I was talking about nutballs so I’m glad I got my point across

Based on the trailers right? Particularly that first trailer, which was pretty weak. Understandable that some folks have reservations about the film since pretty much all we’ve seen in the poorly handled marketing campaign highlighted by some lackluster trailers. Which is pretty typical of Sony to be honest. Trailers

Well, it is hardly a glowing positive review and a lot of his lines lean toward the meh.

Right, which was the source of his power. This new Ghostbusters team wouldn’t have been able to shoot him in it

No, bro just complained. Bro believes there is some type of conspiracy where feminists and Sony are intimidating all of the reviewers, so the critics are only saying positive things about the film lest they have their balls cut off or something. Bro believes this so strongly, that even when bro reads critical things

That’s so awesome!

Sure, but part of the reason she’d rather play Minecraft is that Minecraft gives her agency and power that she can’t get from lots of other media.

Representation is definitely important. What is frustrating to me is that we have to keep fighting on that front. Like think of all of the things that have happened both in the US and around the world in the past few weeks. There’s a lot of serious shit going in. People are dead. And there are people on the internet

Right, the trailer is just one of the many pieces you need to determine whether or not you like a movie. Reviews are a more important piece, but ultimately at the end of the day you have to actually see the film to determine if you like it.

The only problem is that all the jokes and action don’t leave much room for the story.

Ugh. How much is Sony paying you for this review? Or is it the matriarchy?

Right. That’s the only possible explanation. There’s no way this movie could actually be pretty good, the stars are women.
