damn you just spoiled the after credits teaser for infinity Wars 2!
never say never
I think Namor works best as a supporting character/antihero/antagonist. He is a colossally vain super powered ruler of a technologically advanced undersea race who generally doesn’t think too highly of humanity. That said, he has a sense of honor and justice, he just prioritizes the well being of his people and views…
I will adopt Freya, send her to Brooklyn
I am skeptical about whether Namor would work as a solo character, but as a recurring part of the MCU, probably post Infinity Wars? That’s something I could easily get on board with.
Funny. I just finished my FFIX Steam release playthrough last night and was trying to decide what to tackle next and the first thing I did was check if Suikoden was on Steam yet. It’s nice to know it’s not just me
no steam?
Wah
I am generally in favor of players having more options when it comes to customizing games, particularly games that aren’t plot driven, plus my personal community includes trans and GNC people, so this great.
I think where people are taking issue is that Chris Claremont for some reason bumped Danvers up to Colonel when she and the X-Men famously infiltrated the Pentagon in the early 80s. Probably because the plot called for her to use her rank to get access to restricted areas.
yeah, I did some more googling and it looks like it is theoretically/legally possible for someone to reach Major by their late 20s if they do ROTC and stand out among their peers. In the comics, Carol was a Major when she first encountered Captain Marvel, got her powers, and initially left the air force to work for J.…
They could make her not a colonel, and have her get her powers earlier in her career
Well, technically, Carol Danvers wasn’t a Colonel when she got her superpowers either. She was a Major, and it is theoretically possible to reach that rank by 28, which will be just a year older than Larson will be when filming is likely to start in late 2017 or early 2018.
I think you are mistaken about her age. Brie Larson was born in October of 1989 and is currently 26. Captain Marvel has a release date in early March 2019, which means they probably plan to start filming late next year or early 2018, when she will be 27.
Yeah, there’s no way that Brie Larson is old enough to have made CAPT/MAJ in the Air Force.
Yeah, people have gotten extremely passionate about the fancasting for Carol Danvers. It’s actually pretty ridiculous
Obviously part of what is going on here is sexist Hollywood culture’s obsession with younger actresses, but technically there are Air Force officers around Brie Larson’s age. According to the Air Force Personnel Center website, 35 is the average age of an Air Force Officer and 13% of officers are below 26. Sadly it…
I just kinjaed about that on the main article. There are a lot of people super upset that Larson is probably going to get the part; the passion surrounding the fancastings was probably the most intense I’ve ever seen and I can’t recall anyone saying Brie Larson at any point. I think she’s going to do a good job…
Good for her, she is talented and it is a great opportunity. I hope they pull it off. I’m pretty optimistic given Marvel’s generally excellent casting record that Larson is the right woman for the interpretation that Marvel has in mind.
I love FFX, it is probably my favorite Final Fantasy game. That said, I could never get more than an hour or two into FFXIII. I sort of understand the comparisons on a superficial level, but am not sure they are entirely justified
