I mean I’d argue with you about whether Ivalice or Spira are better settings, but personally X and XII were where the quality of the games started to peter out. The MMO idea for FF was just stupid, the sequels aren’t a horrible idea but have had pretty mixed execution. I am cautiously pessimistic about XV personally

Vivi’s fussing with the brim of his has is my favorite. It can express so many different things depending on the context

The only problem is some of those mini games are maddeningly frustrated and poorly designed. Hippaul Racing and the Jump Rope thing come to mind.

Cheaper and easier to find comfortable accomodations if you are traveling with a dog

It’s revealing how mostly people are commenting this woman’s breasts instead of the fact that she is a ridiculously talented artist.

I’d rather just have backwards compatibility, not really interested in buying these again

I think, although I’ll admit that I’m not in any way a fan of the franchise in general, the outrage is because it looks like it is a huge pivot away from the straightforward military porn that fans of the franchise are into towards a pretty hard sci fi genre.

Meh, bored now. I’m glad that this game apparently has a plot and a decent single player campaign, but this obsession with making every game all about the multiplayer is getting extremely played out.

Michael Thomsen also occasionally writes positive reviews about games, he just tends to dislike the big budget AAA ones. Which may be less evidence that he is trolling and more evidence that his tastes are different from those of the most vocal segment of the gaming community. Which is fine, that’s his prerogative.

Except there are other games that he does review positively. He just has different tastes from yours. That’s actually perfectly ok, relax.

Right, if I’m looking at like Yelp reviews trying to decide where to go grab a burrito, and there are 20 5 stars and 1 1 star, I don’t look at the 1 star review and decide the burritos at the restaurant are terrible. Same logic should apply here

Yeah, I remember when the reviews for the new Captain America movie started to come out, and Rotten Tomatoes had like 100 positive reviews and one negative one for like a week. The comment threat on the negative review was full of angry fans accusing the reviewer of having a dishonest opinion to try and get clicks.

It’s amazing that it took Hollywood so long to hear that explosion. People like shared universes

huh? Yoda isn’t in Stark Trek. He must have been thinking of Star Wars

Yoda isn’t in Star Trek though. You’re thinking of Star Wars

Remember that time the dude tried to kidnap the lady or whatever and she called for help with the Pizza Hut app? There really is nothing we cannot accomplish with pizza

Pizza saves lives

I’ve started thinking of it not as an inevitability, but as a rare biological wonder that may or may not happen.

I’ve played through all the Halo Campaigns multiple times on varying levels of difficulty, and I’ve got to say the opening to this level is consistently the most challenging part of the series. I always get stuck there and it takes me a a while to make it through, but for all the reasons you mention I never get bored
