Can confirm. I watched in a dark room with my calibrated plasma [fight me] and all of the issues I saw were from the compression that had nothing to do with TV settings or resolution. This are pretty common on most streaming content, they were just extra noticeable in this episode.

Except Helm’s Deep was way more legible and better lit than this. It’s a dark scene but they still had contrast.

I honestly wouldn’t have any problem with the lighting of the episode, if my streaming option had a quality HD option. HBO streams on Crave tv in Canada, both live & recorded, and the highest quality they offer is 720, so it’s quick-moving, grey-black blobs for the whole episode for me. YAY.
