If Sony makes a Venom film, it is going to tank. Because they are going to try to go with Venom as a hero/anti-hero from the start, and try to keep it somewhat separate from Spider-Man. And that's a mistake, because you have to have that storyline in Spider-Man and use Venom's villainous origin.

In comics continuity right now, he's Bucky's and Black Widow's S.H.I.E.L.D. deep cover handler in the Winter Soldier book.

November 11th. Way to bury the lead.

Who's to say that he didn't reverse-engineer the webbing from the cartridges he acquired? Trial and error and all that, so 24 cartridges could help in his experiments.

That's not the point. That's the quintessential Spider-Man line. It needed to be in the movie.

Eh, the 6th set down, and a few others, look just like the Kraken from Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.

Yeah, but I don't treat Spider-Man 2 as a true Marvel movie, because it's Sony and not Marvel Studios. The only "true" Marvel Studios movies would be Cap 2 and the possible GotG.

Not once, in the entire movie was THE line, the iconic Spider-Man line, used. That sticks in my craw a bit. Was the word "responsibility" used? Yes. But never, in the 2.5 hours of that movie was "With great power, comes great responsibility" ever uttered. Sure, if you want to patch together certain lines of Uncle

It can't be Avengers related. Different studios means Spidey can't be involved until Marvel Studios has the rights. Also, who's to say there will be a post-credits sequence? Again, this is not a Marvel Studios release, so unless Sony wants to adopt Marvel's schtick, it won't happen.

Ohhh, Lerrrrd!

I'm not going to go through all the comment clicks, and this may have already been covered, but there are SO MANY BETTER CHOICES for Black Panther than Lil "I'm only famous because my dad said 'Unnnh' a lot in rap videos" Romeo. Sure, he could look the part, but just...no.

We didn't catch the name of the guy, but I want to think that Warren Cole (he's one of the cops on that Common Law show) was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent on the Helicarrier in Avengers. Maybe he could end up being O'Grady and that was an Easter egg.

Yeah, Scott Lang was brought back Avengers: The Children's Crusade (which was, essentially, the latest incarnation of the Young Avengers book that took 2 years to tell). Scarlet Witch's return to the greater Marvel U was the major point of the book, but Scott returned and Cassie was killed.

True, then you get boned at GameStop when you go to trade them in.

Same here. I'm thinking of going and renting the first one again, though. I'm not sure I've 100% that one yet.

I'm wrapping up Lego Pirates of the Caribbean now on XBox, after crushing it in the DS version. I've now discovered the difference between console Lego games and handheld are night and day, even with the same title. Harry Potter 1-4 is next, then I'm considering actually buying Batman 2, as Pirates and Potter are

Glee is in the correct state. That's Ohio.

If it wasn't $55, I'd be all over that Optimus Prime beanie.

Nope. I guess daforce has though?
