Stick to sports!

Ha thank you for reminding me of that bit of self-indulgent wankery. Not that I disagree with his take here, but Jesus Christ I really lost whatever respect I still had for Pareene after he wrote that shit.

I live in Atlanta. This is an uninformed take.

Excellent work.

Well, I think it’s also an idea of an opinion. And that’s—on one hand, I hear half the media saying that these are lies. But on the other half, there are many people that go, ‘No, it’s true.’

And so one thing that has been interesting this entire campaign season to watch, is that people that say facts are facts—they’re not really facts.

Thank God. I’ve been so annoyed by the lack of officiating in the NFL recently.

Damn Pareene. I used to like you but now you’re the fucking worst. What happened?

They gave Sanders a prime speaking slot at the convention, let him have a big hand in shaping the platform, and Bernie himself, as a member of the Democratic Party, endorsed Clinton and went out on the stump for her. If that’s “shitting all over” his supporters, I’d like to see how “trying to get their votes” would’ve

We do need new ideas, and new leadership, but why does that necessitate throwing away the entire Democratic Party infrastructure? Why not work to build a better Democratic party from the inside? How is splitting the left up into warring factions going to do anyone any good?

I’m sure the best path forward will involve lots of internecine score-settling.

Yeah, Obama was pretty much an unknown when he gave his speech at the DNC in 2004. Four years later he was president. A lot can happen.

It’s easy to be gracious when you win.

Can we stop using the terms “liberal news” and “conservative news,” and start using the more accurate labels “fact-based reporting” and “fan fiction,” respectively?

The only way they’ll ever appeal to the “casual fan” is to have a ten-minute review after every catch to see if the player made a baseball move while controlling the ball.
