Probably against the T&Cs of iPresentee, but I zipped the objects and put them onto Drop.io: [drop.io] No dmg conversion necessary. Enjoy.

Highly unlikely, but... 13" Macbook Pro! Ditch the DVD drive, add a vid card, price between 13" Macbook and 15" Pro. It is what I wanted the Air to be.

...and the free part is limited to 2 hours per day. Probably more than enough for most people, but yet another string attached.

@NeoXY: But QS has gone open source now right? [www.tuaw.com] Or has that plan since changed?

A number of comments on the MacApper post mention LaunchBar. Has anyone on LH tried it? Any QS power users familiar with both? Care to give a rundown?

@Darkmatter91: It's also important to note, as people often do, that quicksilver is much more than just a launcher. I use it to manage a lot of things on my computer; it is a wonderful complement to spotlight.

@Khamel: I agreed with you up to your last point. The subprime mess was created by many, many factors; it was not solely on the buyers. I don't mean to be condescending, but if you don't know what a CDO is, look it up. That's a good place to start, but even that only tells part of the story.

@Pastabagel: True, not great for stand alone art pieces, but this is great when you are trying to sketch from a photo off of the computer. David Cay Johnston is no hack—he has won several pulitzers writing for the NYTimes. I've heard him on radio several times; he's intelligent, erudite, and far from

There are dryer balls designed for this purpose. They cost in the $10 range. We use them, but I have not noticed any significant difference in drying time. They do also reduce static cling, freeing us from dryer sheets. That is one avenue for savings.

Yeah, I've always wanted a good rundown on the different shell types in a "if you want to do ___, then choose ____" format. I use bash b/c it seems to balance power with ease of configuration.

I usually have one or two drinks on long flights, but be sure to drink LOTS of water. You can dehydrate very quickly at high altitudes.

Great, thanks for the tip. No mention of mandolux yet, so I'll toss it out there: [www.mandolux.com]

I never minded the menubar transparency; I use keyboard shortcuts to minimize menu bar trips—transparency or not.
