Absolutely yes. Just because you say something nicely doesn’t mean you’re being nice.

This is the messed up thing about politics, most people (the media included) are more concerned about the emotions and actions in a speech as opposed to what the actual content is. Most people vote with their emotions and with the “party” they side with as opposed to what policy is actually better for them.
I applaud Owen’s father for refusing to meet with 45. I just hope he doesn’t get too mad at his daughter in law. Grieving is not something to be done alone and they both lost someone to tragic and probably unnecessary circumstances
Presidential? All because he gave ONE speech in which he didn’t go off the rails. Wow, the barre has been lowered considerably.
After getting through 17 minutes of it before needing to turn it off, I’m still obsessed with wondering who wrote that useless speech that promised nothing specific at all (except to bankrupt the government).
The hungry look in Ivanka’s eyes sent shivers down my spine. This whole cabal is so evil and can’t wait to unleash unspeakable horrors upon the world.
I said this on another thread, but I’ll repeat it here:
I will always jam to both Teenage Dream and Last Friday Night.
So maybe this is the red line which will cause Republicans to actually condemn him? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Nope.
Yeah, I’m a little gobsmacked myself. Georgia, of all places....
Yup. The irony is kind of delicious.
This is the silver lining in this awful story for me. I am completely amazed that Georgia pursued this case, used these laws to convict, and actually gave hefty sentences to these assholes.
Wait. That was their defense? That they weren’t the ones who threatened the partygoers? Man, fuck y’all. You rolled up six or seven cars deep into a mostly African-American neighborhood with Confederate flags flying from every single vehicle. You purposely went out looking for a fucking conflict, and when you noticed…
“I want y’all to know that that is not me,” Norton, referring to her previous behavior with the Respect the Flag group, tearfully told the courtroom. “That is not me. That is not [Torres].”
thats because racism has not only been legitimized, its been deemed patriotism.
“I would never ...” = “I didn’t realize there would be consequences for my actions.” Which is why we are seeing an uptick in racist and anti-Semitic acts; people are getting the message that they can get away with it.
Jose Torres and Kayla Norton, a couple from Douglas County, Georgia, wept in court as a judge handed down their…
I honestly didn’t know he did tv work. I only know candy from movies.
I saw him on the pre-show and Robin Roberts mentioned how he’s starting the show, and instead of being a normal person and replying “Yeah, it’s going to be great,” he pretended he didn’t know and yuk’d it up longer than it needed to be. “I am? I better get going hurr hurr hurr.”
