And yet he still led the league in minutes played. The man is averaging 43 minutes a game in the playoffs.

Nah, it’s off glass.

This is like the one asshole everyone knows that always claims to have deep thoughts but instead they are some sort of typical windowlicking bullshit disguised as deep thought- “the police have a hard job so we should pay our respects to those who serve our community!”.... which sounds reasonable, but really is code

“My best character trait, after being super smart and really nice of course, is how humble I am.”

Question; for lack of a better analogy, are the majority of hardcore sportswriters the nerds that grew up idolizing the jocks, and now that they have their ear they slob all over them, access based journalism-ism?

I’m a better person than a lot of people I’m surrounded by. I’ll get chewed up for saying that, but it’s true.’’

I guess you could define “under siege” as “Facing a tiny bit of non-consequential scrutiny for murdering people of color at an astronomical rate.”

In 2016, a turbulent period when law enforcement officials were under siege across the U.S.

I’d say having a thrice divorced, serial adulterer reality show host with a history of racism, sexual deviance, mocking the disabled, avoiding taxes and filing bankruptcy as President got us here.

All these snowflakes are getting triggered over what is essentially a coupon expiration. Truly this is the Dumbest Timeline.

“Cooler heads will not prevail.”

There actually is something wrong with being rich, and persistent denialism about that fact is one reason almost all rich people have what you call a clown mentality.

There’s really no good reason why DVD ownership isn’t in vogue in the same way that owning records is...

This is a silly take. Nobody should be buying DVDs. There’s literally no good reason for the average consumer to have them. None. Like it or not, it’s a piece of plastic that will needlessly take up space in your home until it is one day discarded to a landfill. Virtually everything you could possibly want to own is

OK so the hipsters have come for DVDs now. Can anyone remember they last time they held a CD/DVD? No they can’t because it’s fucking stupid. If someone handed me a CD and said “Watch this!” I would throw it in the trash. We now have the ability to directly beam photons in the form of movies and TV shows anytime,

If you just open it up and say we gotta pay the football and basketball players, you gotta pay all the NCAA players, right?

I said it then and I still say it now.. I’m firmly convinced Westbrook should have been the one traded. Some small, average guard should have been brought in for much less to help spread the floor and handle the ball when Durant and Harden (the primary ball handlers in this scenario) weren’t in the game.

Alternate history: What if OKC traded Russ to Houston and kept Harden in 2012? Would we have Durant/Harden/Adams?

I get some of what they want to do as an offense — transitions led by Russ’s rebounding, the occasional iso trip, and good pick and roll action with Adams once in a while — but those things should be accents of an offensive strategy, not the whole thing.

I genuinely can’t tell if they’re supposed to be running an offense or if the Thunder are ignoring that offense and just freelancing or if the offense is actually, “hey guys, just do some freelancing for me.”
