It’s like when a nerd girl shows up at a formerly male dominated convention, like a comic-con. The guys, angry at her presence, begin quizzing her to prove that she, a girl, couldn’t possibly be a real fan.

Fellow early reader here! I was lucky (although it sure didn’t feel that way at the time) to not have a natural affinity for math, which forced me to actually study. I wasn’t totally unprepared in college because of that.

The Fish in The Cat in the Hat should be at the top of this list. I know, in the cartoon it is voiced by a guy but the book does not assign that fish a gender and I would argue it is the ultimate Lame Bitch.

We are set up to hate the fish, when all it does is point out that we don’t know that cat and he should not be

I love any reason to to post the 8 different language compilation of Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne. Now seems an adequate time.

If the rise on her pants was about 3” lower she looks like she could have accompanied me to a frat party in 2003. Is she wearing platforms? They really complete the look.

I heard ant-vaxx people frame it as personal choice. They say they should be able to do what they want with their lives. That’s it’s their choice and their risk and the rest of us can do what we want. But it’s not their lives as it’s almost always about the lives of their kids and it’s just risking their kids safety.

It’s mind blowing how many people forgive Lena her trespasses yet claim Kim Kardashian is the fall of Western civilization.

Hey man, I’m fine with being barred from owning a gun if it means abusive men are also disarmed.

Yeah, it’s so unfair that men have it so hard. Must be tough.

If you watch the British “Victoria” series (it’s on Amazon Prime Video for free in the US), it is remarked on how insanely tiny she is a lot.

I’m beginning to get the impression that giving enormous amounts of money and fame to young men solely based on their ability to throw a ball while other men are chasing them might produce some perverse outcomes. Nothing really to go on; just a hunch.

It was that it was at a royal wedding; generally speaking va stuffy affair in which the women are so shrouded in layers of tulle, lace and other fabrics, they may as well be Carmelite nuns. And then Pippa comes sashaying down with a rather fitted frock that nicely accentuated her back curves. It was quite cheeky

Exactly. It’s as if NBC expects us to just forget everything she’s said and done in the interest of “unity” and “moving forward”. I’m sure most of their audience will be happy to do so, but some of us won’t. (Of course, I’m not in NBC’s audience, either actual or as their desired target demographic, so they don’t

There’s a lot of snark in the comments here, but it seems the issue is the photos are being used without permission. That seems to be a simple thing. These people want to be recognized as working for a living. The people using the photos are getting them from somewhere, and the photo rights belong to the photographer.

I went to a school where this type of thing happens, but I still don’t understand it. What does a “college career” consist of?

Oh for fuckSAKE, brosephines. Look, cop to it, if you actually invited any female photographers at all, you invited ONE, and she couldn’t attend, and you had no Backup Token.

Source: Me. My son was less than 2 months old when I left my ex-husband. I was about 7 months pregnant when I found out he was having an emotional affair with a coworker of ours. I moved in with my in-laws, who knew the reasons behind our split.

Funny story: Pretty much every personality, talent, and brand trademarks, and it’s super easy. It’s not meant in the sense of The Birthday Song, which ignorant folks always bring up, but moreso to prevent direct competitors from mirroring marketing.

This does feel like a bit of an Ooops Baby. Shop may be closing up after

Someone kicking your ass at something generally doesn’t need your advice. When it’s a woman in a man’s world kinda thing, as is the case here, it comes across as mansplaining - whether they intended it that way or not.
