This is only semi-related, but it is so bizarre to me how we treat mail as magically private. I needed an account number for something recently, so I went on to my bank’s site, logged in, and I couldn’t find it. I went to my electronic statements looked there, but it only had the last three or digits and the rest were

You know, it used to be common knowledge that college women just couldn’t perform academically in the the stem fields because of some “innate genetic difference”.

I think the suggestion that women are more emotional and can’t handle high stress jobs is sort of rich coming from a person that wrote a 10-PAGE MANIFESTO about HR.

I think you might have a shitty family, more than anything else.

John Mulaney has a bit in one of his standup specials where he says that he grew up before children were special, and I know what he means. I was often allowed to just sort of do as I pleased, and those days are over. However, I think we now live in a time in which only one’s own children have any value. Other

Literally a Margaret Atwood quote come to life.

I think the last time I heard “I Wanna Be Bad” was in an Amanda Bynes movie I watched with my niece...I think it was What a Girl Wants (which I’ve seen, but it was eons ago). So maybe Willa is still getting something for that when they occasionally show it on kid/family friendly channels.

Remember Vitamin C? These two were pretty much on the same rung.

Yup. This. I always fly into a rage at 9-11 worshippers because they hate New Yorkers but they fetishize this shit.

And just when they’re about to get pissed at me, I tell them I’m from NYC and watched it from my roof a mile away. I am not a player of cards, but this is the one case and the one audience where I throw

I bet they all hate NYC too, because liberals and gays.

It’s so weird to me when I hear about the areas that worship 9/11 but hate New York and what it’s supposed to stand for.

In my home state of Indiana, it takes 1500 hours of instruction to obtain a cosmetology licence. While I think we can all agree that it’s best not to have random untrained dipshits cutting hair, I think we can also agree the worst that could happen with a poorly-trained cosmetologist is a bad dye job, or a sliced

A lot of police departments seem to be hiring military veterans, some of whom have been in war zones. Maybe soldiers are trained to shoot first and ask questions later, and/or tend to be more skittish in immediately assuming they’re about to be shot at.

Every other damned thing in the world is being digitized, why not electronic gun holsters? The strap doesn’t unlock unless the body cam is running.

Oh, I agree. Whenever I am talking to other white people about Black Lives Matter, I always end with the following: the other reason it’s important is because it’s only a matter of time before they start shooting random white people, too.

Ugh, it’s like the insane overpriced “apodments” sprouting up in my city. They keep pimping them as for the young busy tech worker on the go but they’re basically insanely overpriced, unholy breedings of dorms and tenements. You don’t even get your own kitchen!

I mean, there is a middle ground between a 4000 sq foot McMansion and a 200 sq foot tiny home.

The joke’s on CBS, Emma Stone won’t be any cheaper.

Most of the problems with marriages would be solved if they weren’t permanent contracts. They should be like sports contracts... you negotiate the term at the beginning and when the term expires you are both free agents. You can always renegotiate to extend the contract if you choose.

IT is unutterably sad to me that her parents did not sit her down and make her realize that she did not get in to the college of her choice because she did not earn it. Bottom line. These upper middle class parents need to get real with their offspring: race and money can only get you so far. Granted, it will get you
