I’m just now hearing about this “human baby” nonsense and it straight up creeps me the fuck out. Let’s ignore the fact that she’s been legally of-age for four years - she’s tiny and has a babyface (and wears cat ears, so what), so we classify her as a baby. But if she appeared older, we’d respect her more - it’s…
We can hope that more research will result in the means to combat this unfortunate trend.
I wonder if there is a difference in states that have the medicaid expansion versus those that don’t.
Just turned 45. Is my advanced degree going to save me?!?
And Jezebel went for a whole article without calling her a human baby! Progress!

I’d also like to say I fou d tge story of the caving part of this excavation to be really interesting. I honeztly feel a bit clauzterphobic just thinking about their working conditions. Suggesting they were somehow not the best choices takes away from an amazing achievement.
If you paid attention to the science, you’d realize that a LOT of things can be bad for women, but a blanket policing of behaviour is ridiculous because we’re still flying blind on a lot of things pregnancy, since it’s medically unethical to do randomized studies on most things during pregnancy.
I read it more like a parody of the shenanigans between Marvel and Fox. I think this might be Ryan North poking some fun at Marvel editorial.
