I was at Target this weekend and was astounded that the Halloween section was actually still mostly Halloween with a little generic “fall” thrown in and not 90% Christmas like it has been in past years by this point in the calendar. Hurrah Target! Give Thanksgiving the due it deserves. Let Halloween shine!

Oktoberfest is horrifying at the best of times. My first experience of it was as a fifteen year old on exchange in Germany. My best mate had never been proper drunk before. I finally just now finished my daughter’s troll wig. I’d been putting off finishing all week and her first Halloween event is tomorrow. I just wish it were the proper color, but Jo-ann’s had what they had.
