As a Gen-Xer I’m tempted to say something sarcastic but really, I hear ya.

I was working on my multimeter kit, but had a little setback when I soldered a switch on the wrong way. Even after desoldering it was pretty tightly in place, and when I tried using pliers to remove it I accidentally crushed it. They not only look disturbingly serene, but there seems to be an uncanny amount of structural similarity in their faces.

Got the battery holder sewn today! (I think the transparent thread tends to be too hard to see in thick/fuzzy materials-- what it seems to best for is simple cloth applique where the cloth has a pattern and you don’t want to see the stitching against it— so I used some more or less matching purple thread.)
