Not working on anything right now (for reasons given in another post), but I picked up some greyscale pens to go with my black pens and I have some ideas.

Didn’t post last week because I was visiting family and I never remember my burner password for portable devices.

Not so bad for me. Had a good lunch, got some greyscale ink pens at 60% off, and the mixed blessing of getting a couple of electronics components super cheap because the local Radio Shack is closing. And my husband is off work very early so we have a relaxing (if drizzly) evening.

I don’t know if Orchard Supply Hardware is considered a “big box”, but I’ve seen Craftsman stuff there.

This is a rather remarkable moment, though like most I found out about Oingo Boingo after they’d gone from mad performance art to Danny Elfman-fronted rock band:

Jaye P. Morgan.

“J&B I am thinking. Glass of J&B in my right hand I am thinking. Hand I am thinking. Charivari. Shirt from Charivari. Fusilli I am thinking. Jami Gertz I am thinking. I would like to fuck Jamie Gertz I am thinking. Porsche 911. A sharpei I am thinking. I would like to own a sharpei. I am twenty-six years old I

“Oh great, another freakin’ tunnel after the zig-zag. Sheesh.”

Aw, she’s cute.

Dude... I’m a cat person but how can you wish a jolly little whackjob like that Hell?

Eh, too many is better than not enough! Nice duckies too.

Some people put my husband’s surname, or his and mine hyphenated, but I don’t worry about it overmuch. The only annoyance is that we happened to meet in college and so we get double the number of begging letters/alumni magazines because they apparently haven’t noticed we have the same address.

Finished the “Trump Card” (aka “Ubu Trump” aka “King Turd,” from the title of one of the translations of Ubu Roi):

The beginning of Up left me weeping and swearing (quietly, though, there were kids in the theatre) because FUCK YOU PIXAR FOR RIPPING OUT MY HEART AND STOMPING ON IT.

Not axolotl tanks?

Probably the really colorful ones aren’t allowed by Broadcast Standards & Practices.

No she isn’t— she lacks the depth and the charm.

It just crossed my mind, looking at the “Nevertheless...” piece, that if you want to put a flower behind the text you might want to stick to pastels and other light colors to keep the text legible, and not do a black outline on the flower. Something like this, though maybe not so complex.

I’ve seen mixed sets of embroidery graph paper that include 14 squares/in but the shipping (they never seem to be in-store) is a PitA. There’s also files, if you Google around, to print your own.

And thanks for the compliments on the card! It’ll be sent out as part of that Ides of Trump postcard thing, but I think I’ll
