I don’t know, have you seen Legend of Korra? That’s a recent cartoon, and it got seriously brutal, not in a cartoonish way, but in a realistic way. It was fucking amazing. There’s some crazy stuff going on in cartoons that are still running today as well, though I can’t think of anything off the top of my head.

That personal tragedy is an important part of this game though. It’s important that this fact is pointed out. It’s not meant to help sell the game, just to let people know.

Honestly, if you had to make FF completely real-time, this is probably how you’d do it. I dunno why exactly, but that’s the feeling I get when I watch this game in action.
