No, they confirmed it was a reboot a while ago. A retelling of the original, but different.

E3 is far too much for Woolie. Too many lies even for him.
EA will delay the game just to spite you.
We already knew it was a reboot for a long time.
The details that I’m reading here seem nice.
It’s not animation, just how it handles. Like, the phsyics of it. Actually controlling the character. It looks like it’s still more rough than I prefer. Won’t stop me from playing, but still.
Well, it looks awesome. Chances are it’ll play great too.
I wished the way you handle your character (walking and stuff) was a bit better though.
Pfft, that fucker’s dead. Probably. I mean, you were the sole survivor. We don’t really know that much about the plot besides that.
I hope it’s more interesting and in-depth than DAI.
The character in the demo is the exact same one that’s created. It was showing him just coming out of the vault after 200 years for the first time. It’s not the child. We don’t even get to customize the child.
It looks awesome in this though.
Dude, that’s just one part of a whole huge experience. And it’s optional.
No, it wasn’t exactly confirmed, but it seems to be the case. They show the character opening up the vault after 200 years to find that he’s the sole survivor of the entire vault and finds out how long he’s been “asleep.” It sounds a lot like he was cryogenically frozen, considering they said that he was sleeping for…
No, it was still the same parent you created. He was just in cryogenic sleep within the vault. It would make no sense for you to create your own character and then get stuck with a baby that would look like the two parents combined.
No, the demo clearly showed that this isn’t the case. You play as one of the parents.
Remember guys, they can still seriously fuck this up.
My erection is going to last far longer than 4 hours. I’m going to need a doctor.
He actually sounds like a really cool character (for Smash I mean). Side note, I’ve kind of wanted to see more physics-based gameplay in my fighting games, and seeing Ryu in Smash reminds me of that.
