That’s fair. I would personally still rank it high just because of it’s effect on the industry and whatnot, but if you are just saying “what plays best by today’s standards” then I agree. Other games are WAY BETTER.

I think OoT is so highly regarded not because of how “good” it is, but because of how important to gaming it was. You have to remember that at the time, games were transitioning to 3D for the first time. There was a lot of new ground to cover, since the rules of 3D had never been completely figured out. You bring up a lot of good points. I think the issue with Halo, however, is that we’ve all moved on from hero stories. We’ve had nothing BUT that for so long that we’re all jaded with the concept.
