That is my exact fear...but who in the world would steal a Smart? Then again, I did have a rustbucket van stolen, so...

All of my storage spaces are in a 20-mile radius of home...so probably that.

If they can pull it off, I’d love to see something that sustainable make it to the passenger tire market. I’d be curious to know what the longevity of the compound is like, compared to traditional rubber.

So with guayale, you 1) grow American, 2) it thrives in the dry heat and we’ve certainly got that aspect in spades nowadays, 3) uses much less water for a given unit of harvested rubber, 4) avoids carbon costs from material hauling so wow: that’s win-win-win-win.

Car enthusiasts are impossible to please - manufacturers are better off making hybrid crossovers and SUVs that sell in large numbers to people who actually buy their cars new. Attempting to appeal to gatekeepers of any kind is universally a bad idea and will surely not work out for whoever is making that attempt.

I don’t think I could pay over 20K for anything that had a cold-air intake. It screams “my teenage son drove this car and was hanging around an auto parts store and...”

Up to $400,000 for a bus that will carry about 65 students, or about double the cost of a diesel. The savings are said to be made in not having to maintain or fuel a diesel engine over the course of the bus’ life.

It’s a shame, because I’d totally request that the carpet look like this:

Do you want any sort of pattern on the carpet?

That carpet pattern looks like the fore bathroom is overflowing!

3 Billion to send a middle finger to the Russians?

The US should just front the money. It’s not necessarily a good financial buy but since when has that stopped us - We’ve certainly found more creative ways to waste money. This one has serious middle finger to Putin value, plus Ukrainian solidarity value at the cost of a little less than 2 days worth of military
