Yes but states’ rights is only for certain issues. Banning abortion, gerrymandering, that kind of thing. States shouldn’t have the right to do things like protecting the environment or workers.

Corn ethanol production yields 1.1 units of energy for every 1 unit input for production. Sugarcane ethanol yields 6-7 units per every 1 unit. Since our climate can’t grow sugarcane on the level we can grow corn, saying Brazil has figured it out is moot because we can’t replicate it.
