Chasing wind noise problems can be a nightmare too. I had a howling noise in my truck when the wind blew from certain directions and it turned out to be a loose piece of trim on the back side of the pillar. I have no idea how it was causing the noise, but once I jammed in tightly back in place the problem went away

The Prius has a nominally 12 gallon fuel tank, but...

IIRC, the average Bugatti owner has like 37 other cars, so not exactly a huge inconvenience either way.

Probably the break-in thing, but I prefer all of your suggestions. :-)

Maybe the trailer races on my local figure-8 dirt track? :-)

I’ve had an interesting preview of driving a shorter range EV this winter. I bought an old Prius, and due to the questionable design of its fuel tank I can only put about 6 gallons in it in the winter. At low-40's MPG that only gets me 250 miles per tank, max.

I don’t think it’s even enthusiast elitism anymore. They’ve just hired too many deeply untalented writers who try to drive clicks with stupid hot takes and blatantly incorrect reporting of news. I’m rather hoping the last couple of decent writers end up on the Autopian so I can stop visiting here at all.

Jalopnik’s coverage of this has been anti-GM from the start, even though LG basically admitted it was their fault by agreeing to pay for almost all of the recall. Objectively wrong hot takes have become the norm around here, I’m afraid.

Because then the idiots would be pissed at them instead of the government.

Is it magic, sprinkled with the tears of hunter Biden?

I caught my first cold in about three years recently. All of my cold medication was expired by at least a year.

I haven’t lost too many tools, but at one point I did misplace two tape measures in the course of about a month. One I eventually found behind my tv where I had been using it to measure something. The other never turned up. My most plausible theory is that I set it on a partially constructed half-wall that I was

I have learned the hard way that striking things while frustrated rarely helps and usually makes the situation drastically worse.

Heh, I dropped a screwdriver bit into my engine bay once (never did find it), but while researching tips for finding lost things in an engine bay (the most popular tip was “buy another one”), everyone made a point of reminding you to check the ground around the car because it probably fell all the way through.

It makes you drive like a BMW driver

Some day I’m going to get pulled over because I look drunk weaving all over the road to miss the poorly installed manhole covers.

    Gadgeeeeeeeeeet!

And offer them an extension cord to recharge for the return trip.

Huh, this is the first time I’ve seen a valid justification for loading planes front to back. It’s infuriating that you have to wait for everyone to stow their bags, but at least it keeps people in the back from using the front storage bins.

I get that bold is required...but the GND went too far trying to end oil without regard for public sentiment [people like their cars, you can’t force them to get rid of them without a revolt]
