Given the number of times I’ve accidentally set off my alarm while the keys were in my pocket, I’m not sure I want a fob button that will drain my battery if it accidentally gets pressed.

Ditto, except when I first read your comment I thought “You mean the front wheels?” Then I looked at the pictures and realized that depending on the photo both the front and back wheels look dangerously slanted.

I’m sure they could, but if there were a reasonable alternative you can bet they wouldn’t be paying the tolls to use the bridge in the first place.

Self-awareness has never been a strong suit for the type of people who are anti-vaxx. They most likely call themselves “pro-life” while fighting against life-saving vaccines too.

Largely a “well, duh” list, but I am amused by the inclusion of hiking boots and flip flops in the list.

So two vehicles for people with more money than sense, and the Kia, which I can only attribute to a “keeping up with the Joneses” thing.

Or at least price it appropriately as “someone else’s project”. This is definitely not.

Always a good sign when the EIC feels the need to pre-emptively snark at the readership.

What if you’re running whitewalls? ;-)

That’s not how airplane doors work. You have to pull them inward before you can open them, which is impossible to do at altitude with very low pressure outside.

I’ve posted this before, but I designed a 3d printable trash bin for my truck. It is terrific to have a contained space for it. Otherwise the entire center console bin became the trash and couldn’t really be used for anything else.

My thoughts exactly. Move the decimal place one to the left and I would absolutely rock this thing.

You sure showed them by buying another extremely high profit vehicle from them. :-P

My understanding is that chutes don’t work in a low altitude scenario like this one, and in a high altitude emergency you have plenty of time to glide to a safe landing area. It’s why parachutes aren’t more common in small planes.

Oof, these two are the main reason I stayed here after the last mass exodus of my favorite writers. Now we’re losing them both at the same time. This is gonna be rough.

I give Ford a lot of shit for how bad their product launches have been lately, but this is fantastic! I’ve actually custom designed parts for my vehicles and having a standardized integration mechanism would be excellent.

Very few people in this country are actually racist anymore.

I don’t have an EV, but I do have a Prius that costs about $20 to fill up right now. The last time I had to fill up my truck it was over $80 (albeit with a tank that’s about 3x the size).

I take it you’ve never driven a Volt. They’re great cars, killed by politics and worthless marketing.

I live in a blue city surrounded by a vast sea of red. One of the gas pumps about 20 minutes away had one of those. Thankfully someone ripped most of it off.
