Everyone PLEASE READ HER STATEMENT IN FULL. All the headlines give the impression that she said something vague in regards to Kavanaugh - that she was raped and Kavanaugh might have been nearby and maybe was grinding on a few girls at a party (which is how the Republicans WANT to categorize it). Read the statement in…
Her statement is hard to read, and, importantly, incredibly specific and damning. She mentions other witnesses willing to speak, she’s worked in the government for years and holds multiple security clearances, and she submitted a sworn affidavit.
McConnell described Mitchell as a “female assistant”
I always use the bubble concept with my children and students: everyone has their bubble and you don’t go into it without asking first.
Teaching my son about consent has been insanely easy.
Not to mention that the chores seem terrible for affluent kids, but not all kids. Many kids are given responsibilities of cleaning and homemaking as a part of the family unit.
Trader Joe’s is loving all the free advertising and I am loving seeing Geoffrey Owens hotness all over my screen. Dude has gotten better looking with age.
Honestly, if one good thing came out of The Cosby Show, it is him.
HE WORE HIS NAME TAG TO THE INTERVIEW!!! God, Mr. Owens is awesome.
And they were the fucking dipshits that ran out of gas and had no way to pay for more in the first place. If that doesn’t indicate a basic lack of common sense and foresight, well...
This is the problem with GoFundMe. It is a really shitty way to care for people, it is a complete crapshoot if your page will get attention and if it does, and you get a crazy amount of money, there’s no guidance on how it should be spent. Our society would be massively better off with Universal Basic Income,…
How long before women start coming forward with stories about Andrew? Call me cynical, but if I’ve learned anything from #MeToo, it’s that anyone who goes to this much trouble to cover for a pervert is probably also a pervert.
Uh, no. This isn’t about a white man of privilege being beaten to some juicy scoop by two women, it’s about a cover-up of countless sexual assaults that would have been successful if Weinstein only had a couple of victims to intimidate. Who knows what will never come out about Weinstein because NBC gave him at least…
Unless, I’m mistaken the results of Farrow’s investigation would have aired in February instead of November if not for NBC trying to kill it. That’s over nine extra months they handed Weinstein to intimidate witnesses. If HW’s abhorrent behavior hadn’t been so widespread that would have been plenty of time to cover it…
Also, let’s not forget that it is NBC that is sitting on outtakes from “The Apprentice” that undoubtedly have the future president saying some horrific shit.
NBC had the infamous Access Hollywood tape for years and sat on never releasing it before the election. NBCUniversal owned Access Hollywood at the time that video was created, and Billy Bush, the employee they said they were trying to protect by not releasing it, worked for them for decades. The Washington Post…
Right. Sometimes it seems like people are using the #Me Too movement to hold actresses and other female celebrities to standards they don't even personally live by.
Good thing she's in no way responsible for his actions. "I don't fucking know" is a perfectly appropriate and justified response to such a question.
why does her response matter, though? why are we holding her accountable and pressing her on the actions of a shitty man?
