Full scale RC cars with motorsport legends behind the controls?

Maybe... Just maybe, I would be interested in “Driverless Racing”, if that only meant there was no driver in the car.

Aliens and UFOs is one of the most frustrating topics that rubes love to go on about, and it’s exhausting to try and explain how technologically advanced a civilization would need to be to traverse the cosmos.

IF such a civilization currently exists, we would either never see them coming or be immediately wiped out of

The article says, “Reed apparently fired at officers,” but I wonder if they meant to say a different word like “allegedly.” (That would be quite a big mistake!)

I’m a firm believer that cops empty clips and keep reloading and then claim that a bad guy fired first.

Plain clothes or not, I know an unmarked Police Ford Explorer when I see one.”

Why not say fuck the gangbangers?  This many cops following him means he was already under investigation

*Chicago gangs rubbing hands together and nodding in agreement*

Are you going to include any information about Reed’s pending felony weapons charges? Or his prior arrests that involved firearms? Or perhaps question why he was driving around with a gun in his car with no concealed carry permit, and a previously revoked firearm owners identification card

That’s a tragic situation, but at least listening to the audio and video, from the single camera, it does almost seem like there were gunshots before I saw, again that one body came view, shots come from the cops. Not defending them, but it is possible that the victim shot first.

I wonder how much those good ol’ military bunker high security padlocks cost.

“Preventing and prosecuting robbery is a private matter” is a take, I guess. So you’re recommending they load up on armed guards since it’s not a government problem?

The train companies have consistently complained that, even when they do catch a suspect, they get out with no bail the next day.

WSJ story about this from two years ago. Newsom showed up, picked up some boxes, pledged more money for policing the issue, and that was that.

It also asserts that the next generation of CarPlay will take “over all of the screens, sensors, and gauges in a car, forcing users to experience driving as an iPhone-centric experience if they want to use any of the features provided by CarPlay.”

Capabilities are irrelevant to almost everyone since they’ll never come close to those limits.

Great point. I agree completely. It also points to the political nature of the case. It’s an election year and you can be assured the Congress people who leaned on the DOJ to do this will be trying to campaign on how they did this to help protect the little the people from big tech. The truth is they refuse to do

Didn’t GM say it was going to stop including CarPlay in the future in favor of their own service (probably subscription based)?

This part of the DOJs case is absolute garbage. It is so fundamentally wrong it makes the rest questionable as well.

The entire suit is weaksace, but this is absolutely asinine.
