Unfortunately, with the hold police have over society after 200 years, it probably wouldn't do any good. 99% of them just resign before the investigation is finished, and the thin blue line ends it there. Only the very very few worst ones would end up on that list. Hope to change, but the realist in me says no way.

AuditTheAudit is a fantastic reference as it’s one of the few that seem to understand that you can know your rights without making a situation worse.

Remember folks - You have a right to know if you are being detained under suspicion of a crime and WHICH crime. Simply ask - I am free to go? If the answer is not a clear “No” you need to press the question until they tell you EXACTLY why you are being detained (suspicion of a particular crime) or until they admit you

We need a Federal do-not-hire list for bad cops, like the way you can be dishonorably discharged from the military.

1. Fuck every single driver that’s going fast enough to do this on a public road.

This cannot be overstated, because as we all know, a citizen will be subject to enhanced punishment if their crime involves a cop being hurt or killed, so I don’t see why cops shouldn’t be held to double the punishment when they break the law or engage in criminal acts.

I'm a firm believer that those who are in charge of enforcing the law, rather than getting free rides when they break those laws, should be subject to twice the penalty that normally applies to those crimes.

I feel like I should be pissed that I didn’t get radar in my Model Y, but I’m not. They removed it before I received my car and did not adjust the price down for removing features. Though, I didn’t pay for Full Self Driving and NEVER use included Autopilot. Also, I feel fortunate that I don’t have any of the reported s

I mean there’s technically nothing wrong with that statement. There is enough information to theoretically drive the car based entirely on cameras. The issue is that their software processing of the video feeds isn’t in the same ballpark as even a teenager with a learner’s permit, so they should be using every crutch

They aren’t literally on freeway cleanup. They sit behind Caltrans workers and vehicles while they cleanup the freeway.

extremely looking forward to the part where elon denies there was ever any doubt about using radar in the first place

Dude I know.  I worked at a dealer so I always had the lisle tool with the reverse threads handy just in case.  From what I remember if you drove it around to get it hot first and sprayed some pb blaster it would usually break free.  Some guys swore by using 3/8" impacts to break them loose but I was too scared to try.

I once poured a whole gallon of windshield washer fluid in the windshield washer tank without any spilling. Definitely something I’ll tell my grand kids one day.

I’m currently replacing the quarter panels for my ‘65 Suburban. They don’t make quarter panels, so I decided (along with some people before me) to use bedsides from the same generation C10 short-box. The forums were filled with people saying how hard of a process it is because the bedside isn’t quite right.

I got spark plugs out of a 2006 5.4 3V F-150 (~150k miles) without breaking a single one. The people who know, know.

This site not to long ago would SUCK off anything Elon. Now you hate him because he doesn’t say what YOU want him to. hahahaha

On his first day in charge of Twitter, he brought a sink with him so he could post that they let the sink in. You know, like a pun on “let that sink in.”

And Fear! Their chief weapons are Surprise and Fear!..... And Ruthless Efficiency!...

But their chief weapon was surprise!

Jalopnik is a great site and will be even better if you stay out of partisan politics!
