Seriously, that GIF does not do fair justice. The squeal of the tires followed by the deep thud and cracking as the garage door ripped apart was immensely satisfying. The sound is so much better than the visuals.

That’s totally different. If your restaurant fails after Robert is done with it, he will personally come back and turn you into an entree.
I don’t even think it’s necessarily the weekly format, I think it’s the fact that he can focus on specific issues in greater detail. Especially less talked about, though still equally important issues. The Daily Show was at its core still a current and relevant news show. Last Week Tonight can cover what’s happened…
*Nope not changing her fucking name.
I hate that the cable companies, and apparently satellite radio as well, have this whole scheme for their pricing. I mean it’s great and all that you can call and threaten cancellation and they’ll knock you down to the promotional prices, but it’d be nice if they just made that the standard price. It stupid that you…
Assuming you’re also from Michigan, I always made fun of him for kind of looking like Sloth from the Goonies. Then I felt kinda bad when he lost his eye.
Sure! I see you mentioned Futurama in one of your other posts, which is probably my favorite cartoon of all time. What I liked about AT (aside from the amazing John DiMaggio voicing both Bender and Jake) was how the world had a consistent sense of change to it. There are a lot of call backs to older episodes. Things…
Yeah, Memory of a Memory is really good as well. Holly Jolly is great, but I felt that to be a little *too* spoilery to start with. I figured “I Remember You” was from the same storyline, but doesn’t go into as much detail.
Yeah, it was definitely a gradual process before I started watching it regularly. You definitely have to like the show at face value to like the deeper parts of it. At it’s core, it’ll always be a fun little adventure show. A playful take on boyhood fantasies, video games, dungeons and dragons and whatnot.
I hear you. My brother (who is 9 years younger) got me started on AT. He watched it, and I didn’t get it at first. It just seemed really weird. My brother got my step-son hooked on the show, so I inevitably caught a lot of episodes when he wanted to watch. I found myself more and more drawn to the show the more I…
Not true. If you see a hockey article, you know it’s Petchesky or Samer.
I’ve always enjoyed the Ice King. He was a very amusing comedic foil to the main characters for quite a while. As his character has grown, as we’ve learned the back story, he’s been even better. Tom Kenny is fantastic.
You definitely didn’t give it the time required. Especially for a show with so many seasons, and so many episodes within a season. Some episodes are naturally a little flat. The first couple seasons are more of the fun/playful type. There’s some depth, but that really starts to come on more in the later seasons, as…
I’m much the same way. I’ve always preferred video games to television, simply for the hands-on interactivity of it all.
That entire scene was just amazing. That episode felt pretty weak up until that point. The Lich is such a great overarching villain, and Perlman does such an amazing job voicing him.
Yep, and just like in game one, where the Wings did it, in game 7 Tampa gave up a lot of shots, but they were mostly simple and easily contained shots. The Wings only had a couple of legitimately threatening chances, and they defeated themselves worse than Bishop standing up. (Tatar deking himself out. Helm missing…
Labyrinthine? Are you hanging out with lady ducks or something? (Look it up if you don’t know about duck vaginas).
Yep. This.
