If you parked an old Landcruiser that was still running strong in there it would be like bullying the special education class.

ES sounds perfect then. 1990's Camry V6 reliability and parts availability. I’d get the 300 tho just for the extra power. The 2.5l V6 isn’t bad, it’s just a bit underpowered.
That is a far bigger endeavor than you may think it is. Better to buy a Cressida and engine swap it.
The LS400 is far better. I’ve owned both. I’ve owned the LS twice.
I already catch so much shit for not dropping my MR2T, I almost wish I could fit a set of these just to cause a few heart attacks!
Everybody always thinks all cheap mid/rear engine cars are death machines (Except the beetle for some reason). It’s nonsense if you can actually drive.
The very first version of Toyota’s MR2 (The slower NA variety) and the infamous AE86 Corolla both made the same 112HP as your 4000lb vehicle however they also weighed in at roughly half the weight (Well, at least the MR2 did - IDK about the Rolla)
Or double down.
I know this would be my ideal end game scenario if I ever found out I had cancer or AIDS or something. Just don’t make the eventual turn.
I’ve got ridiculous fabrication skills. Who’s bankrolling this? Let’s get to work.
I’m sorry. Did I interrupt your feelings of sorrow for people you’ll never meet? My bad.
Nobody in Texas proper cares. We put all our crybabies (Liberals) in Austin. They can whine there all they want.
I could refute all of your anecdotal information with anecdotes of my own (of which I have first hand experience with many of the things you mention), or I could just point out that the recommended service interval for the timing belt on your wife’s Camry is 60K miles. Perhaps your anecdotes speak to a more global…
I can imagine. No intercooler on period gasoline with limited detonation resistance = no bueno.
I get your joke. These other guys? WHHOOOOOSH!!!!
That’s a turbocharger? I thought it was some malaise era emissions nonsense. So no intercooler, I guess?
Why did you even need to do the HG in the first place? I think BMW drivers have a far different definition of “reliable” than Toyota drivers.
Oh, I know what engine fits your definition of “inherently reliable”! - The Toyota 2JZ-GE. You know? The one found in the IS300?
The 3S-GE BEAMs engine in the IS200 made 210 HP with a much smaller/lighter engine that sat behind the front wheels technically making it mid-engine.
That is nonsense, sir. I’ve owned LS400s for decades. Parts are all still easily available. Besides, what parts do you even need? I’ve had to replace the alternator and the starter on each of my LS400's and that was it. Each of them has a trip to the moon on the clock.
