I have spent a lot of time pondering this. I think it’s because she has a non-contemporary look. She doesn’t look modern. Guess that’s why she does so well in period pieces. But she’s in the very contemporary Little Men so maybe she won’t have to wait as long as Judi Dench for a a great career.
