He is the MVP of the NBA Anna and generally regarded as the greatest shooter in the history of basketball.

And somehow the Knicks have already traded two first round picks for her.

As a Rugby sir, I have no idea why this is allowed in soccer. A player even getting in the referee’s face in Rugby is usually an automatic red, but for some reason in soccer the referees are expected to take it.

Re #1, probably not their first rodeo...

The trend of crowding and haranguing the referee needs to stop immediately. FIFA should instruct all of the pro leagues that only captains are allowed to talk to the ref and that anybody who touches the referee (outside of maybe a tap on the shoulder) is given a red card. Bonus suspension for repeat offenders.

1) Never a good sign that they have dudes with riot shields at the ready for a sporting event

looking forward to your superior fantasy novels

with the exception of the horribly misguided jaime/cersei scene, i’d argue that none of the scenes showing sexual violence are meant to titillate. they have all been awful to watch, particularly the sequence at craster’s keep

WORD. i have been spouting this anywhere and everywhere. Let’s not hide rape behind a closed door or in the dark, or make it cute (oh, look, Cersei was enjoying it there at the end!) or just mundane (Dothraki gonna dothrak...). That scene was horrific, and in the moment, I was dreading it but I was also glad that it

It’s almost as if GOT is based in a fucked up place where terrible things are happening all the time! or something!

So...different movie is different from different show. hot take.

or all those Dothraki rapings. But we like Khal Drogo, kinda, at that point, so I guess that was okay. /s

Or:

No rape is a slightly odd takeaway. Whole point is 4 women escaping rape, just because it doesn’t happen on screen doesn’t mean it isn’t part of their world.

The scene of Sansa being raped was brutal, but I’m not mad that they showed it precisely because I think a lot of people don’t yet understand that rape is brutal. Also, I didn’t interpret the scene as a glorification of rape, but rather an indictment of it, seeing as it was designed to be gut-wrenching to watch.

It’s fairly implied, though. I mean, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s character got pregnant somehow. I’m exceptionally glad they didn’t feel the need to show it on screen, however.

Oh lord. Just stop. You’ve been watching Game of Thrones for five years and this is the thing that does it for you? How’d you make it past the first episode? What did you even think this show was about?

They visit for news on transportation, people getting gouged in the eye, and the potential of it happening in tens of millions of other cars is pretty damn germane to the topics covered on this website.

Someone didn’t like Mad Max...
