Topsy Turvy is one of my all-time favorite films. 

Just an observation: Penny Marshall’s passing has brought out some older schooled, and clearly older, AVClub commentators back around.

My family listened to this album every Christmas in the 80's and it is still a favorite between my sister and I. As far as I care, this album and the Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown Christmas album are all that matters. Listening to these are about all the nostalgia I need.

Hands down, Rowlf and John are forever on my Christmas playlist. Also “it’s in every one of us”is just a great weeper,  although you do have to get through the story of Alfie first. 

Not all of them make me fear for my eternal soul, though.

You would think by pure chance, especially with as much turnover as this administration has had, that Trump might accidentally hire someone who wasn’t corrupt or insane.

Granted, that person would be fired immediately, but it would be a nice change of pace for those 17 minutes that it lasted.

TBH, his absence is probably the highest honor he can pay to any event or cause.

In my opinion, Kylie Shae made the dance work. A lot of dancers could pull off the technical challenges, but they would have made it all seem leaden. She was perfectly expressive, and I really can’t say enough about how much emotional weight she brought to it.
