You’re misrepresenting how language works. Gendered pronouns, like everything else in language, are descriptive of how words are used or in this case, reffered to. Now how they SHOULD, or how you want them to be reffered to, but how they actually are.

Even if it did, they’d never be true vanilla servers, they said as much themselves. I fully expect it to become legal to preserve games in this manner - it already is for most other forms of games (still running MMOs are tricky, although it would be easy to argue this is not the same game anymore).

I’m not sure what you’re talking about , 30k concurrent is an insane number of people. That’s like top 10 Steam most played territory. And that’s just on one providers servers - there’s many more. How could you possibly conclude there wasn’t a big demand from these numbers?

I played for 6 months on a “free” server and I donated. So did most people I knew there. And a lot had concurrently running retail subs, including me. My logic was, “i’m playing wow” and, well, wow is a subscription game. Doesn’t matter which version I’m playing.

I ranked to 10 twice in Vanilla, and again last summer when I was bed ridden after a motorcycle accident. The ranking drama is something special and I’m glad I experienced it. Definitely a very unique PVP experience. The gameplay was always top notch as well, so not sure what you’re talking about. Even the world PVP…
