Good on Cruise.
Good on Cruise.
Ditto! The first thing I said was wow, I didn’t realize how much delight she gets in being a bit cruel to people. I mean, I saw her scaring celebs and sometimes they would go a bit too far (and I didn’t like that) but it wasn’t often enough to highlight her maniacal glee over people’s obvious discomfort and anxiety.
I’ve not watched the show yet but being 60+ into AC Valhalla, Ivar is a dick. However, I’m excited to see how this plays out.
Why did I watch that?
This is true. I was fixated on the pulp and “Udolpho” and not her letters. I don’t know if she enjoyed Radcliffe’s book but I do seem to remember that she did read a few and read them quickly. I apologize.
Just to point out that I took a class in college a long time ago about Jane Austen and this stuff just resides in my brain, only activated at the weirdest times. So, please forgive me if my nerd side is coming on too strong lol
Actually Austen poked fun at the Gothic (which would be what we call “pulp”) novel. I believe she thought they were “silly” (That is not a direct quote!).
Oh and Firth for the win.
They aren’t rich. Middle Class but for the time period, they were almost all considered second-class. In P&P Bingley has money but no land (until he buys Netherfield) and Darcy has an old title and land but not too much money - he didn’t have to work, but he was a landowner instead of nobility or higher peerage. They…
Yes. She was most definitely not pulp. She had a dry wit and a cynical humor about her era but she was not pulp. The Mysteries of Udolpho would be more pulp and was VERY popular.
Just no. Please god no.
I will admit that I teared up a little when they mentioned James Avery in the trailer.
OMG that’s horrible
Refund Sisters, right?
Yeah, I love Bishop Briggs but that video....not her best.
I really feel for the singers. I mean, you train and train and train and you end up singing Pokemon on Strictly. Something went horribly wrong.
.
At least I’ll have Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to tide me over.
I personally like to slot it in a RACI chart so I know who’s at fault :F
I agree with 99% of your comment.
