Madame Xanada, House of Mystery — keep on with Fables, if you get to the fourth volume and hate it, then you should stop.
That was sooo messed up! It's not for everyone though, you'd have to have a passing knowledge of literature as well as not care about the squiggly art.
Fables, hands down. For those that like fantasy, romance, action and well told stories with accompanying (awesome) art.
