I think he’s an older teen, so this is something that realistically he and his friends will see. I read it more as her being concerned about the repercussions for him, and being willing to refuse if he was uncomfortable with it.

She’s telling her story to get it out there, likely in support of other performers who are coming forward and to make it known that there was a history of Deen’s abusive behavior. I don’t know that he could be charged with assault…
