Seeing X2 opening night is one of my favorite movie memories. When the mansion attack started and Wolverine impaled the soldier to the fridge the entire audience gasped, like "wait, did that really just happen?" Then the action ramps up and by the end everyone was cheering and applauding.

Yeah, he even wrote a passionate blog post after the movie collapsed in its second week urging fans to see it again and tell others.

I always felt like people behind the scenes said "okay so none of this really matters anyway since he's just gonna lose his memories and make the movie pointless, so let's just go balls ass crazy stupid." It feels like a homage to the schlock 80s Cannon action films with how over the top silly it gets. I can't help…

I beat Doom last night and enjoyed the shit out of it. It's probably one of the most badass games ever made with the silent but pissed protagonist, metal music, and glorious demon violence all combining into a non-stop barrage of action.
