I saw Cats when I was seven. I have never been a fan of musical theater since. I know there's good stuff out there but goddammit I can't watch a performance without getting minor-PTSD.

"In an effort to hip up their act, John briefly introduced an Asian woman."

I was able to make crockpot chicken cacciatore on Saturday and it was delicious. Plenty of leftovers too. The recipe said to serve over pasta like a sauce but I just had some focaccia for dipping.

Hey now, I'm a fan of spicy ketchup.

It's everywhere down here, and often the only side choice at parties and luncheons. Never understood it.

We should form a support group.

I may be one of the few Southerners who can't stand coleslaw. I think it may be because I've never been a big vinegar person.

Man, I wish Haz. would make one more OSS 117 movie. They're not the greatest but I crack up every now and then thinking about them. Anyone else ever see them?

I'm aware of the general history, but thanks for the link. Didn't know about some of that. I still feel like pro-secessionists (not just neo-Confs.) would take the wrong message about seceding and fighting. On the other hand it seems like the history puts so many neo-Confs. in a heated frenzy it might not matter much.

I'd actually frame that cover of Fury Road if I could enlarge it. Nicely done.

You see that you damned Yankees? There are indeed some good ol' boys down South.

Speechifying has always been Cameron's weak point. Even he admits it in interviews. Also, you can be a fan of military hardware and hate nuclear weapons. They're not one and the same.

"Cameron “fixed” this in a 1992 re-release with a set piece involving a giant tidal wave hitting Los Angeles, but the additional diatribe about nuclear proliferation contradicts with the director’s fetishism of military technology."

Let this be the thread where we share behind the scenes details about the film.

Yeah, I don't know what the hell is keeping Cameron and Fox so long on releasing this and True Lies. I read a rumor that they were to be catalog 4k releases but that keeps getting more and more unlikely.

I hoped Elektra was going to snap "That's bold talk for a self-hating Catholic" when Matt was being blunt about the Black Sky shit. It felt like Matt's religion was pushed aside this season but will reappear once Elektra's resurrected as a crisis of faith subplot. Seems like something the show will try.

Thom Yorke turned me into a newt!

Film would still be better, but I think this bridges the gap a bit. If what I read was correct the camera is very similar to the 6k camera that was used for parts of Revenant. Problem is with a movie like Civil War any improvements would be offset by having to downrez the footage to 2k for cgi. The aspect ratio would

I haven't had Little Caesar's in over a year!

Yeah, I'm just trying to catch up with the series. I only want to see Civil War because it was partly shot with a new IMAX digital camera so that has my interest.
