So what? If they restart the phone they have to know my simcard PIN. If they have enough time to pull the battery, change the card and reboot the phone, you probably shouldn't leave your phone out in the open.

The "ripping + media player of choice" solution has one drawback: no menu structure to navigate the extras. I know I can access all extra content by browsing the BDMV directory, but I'm basically stumbling through the dark there.
