I love Petra's hostage too! I love the fact that she still has him duct taped but is making sure he gets three square meals a day! As for Abuela's status, I love that - it's the bit of realism that grounds this fairytale. I do some pro bono legal aid for immigrants and that is a real fear for a lot of families.
