A Single Flower

I grew up in a wooded area — my parents still live there. And something that happened this past December put a creepy spin on a thing that happened when I was a kid.

This description of the town may be the scariest story I’ve read.

The Scarian one is so frustrating. It’s so blatantly cribbed from other stories/movies that I cannot believe it got picked.

Creepy gas station kid is this year’s spookiest for me. So disturbing.

This isn’t really scary and I’m certain there’s an explanation but it threw me for a loop at the time. It certainly isn’t going to be in the running for a prize, I just felt like sharing it as a supernatural-adjacent story.

My first year of law school I got my first ever apartment. It was still student housing owned by the university and the size of a shoebox, but it was a huge upgrade from a dorm. It even came with a free landline phone and phone line (back when people used landlines to conserve cell phone minutes).

Also, I hope you write an amazing series about a kid who somehow befriends an annoying brat of a demon who tells him important information, and when he grows up they solve crimes together and stuff, because I would absolutely read/watch that.

Ok granted we are all going to want to revisit these for the whole month- what are your tips for reading the stories? Sorting by oldest? Newest? After a week or so I can never find my place again. I once placed a Grubhub order only to find out that I accidentally ordered 3 of one large dish instead of just 1. I tried to use the chat function, but was told I had to call the restaurant **lightning strike sound**.

It’s also cleanly cut into the floor and the dirt is flush with the tiles. It looks like a root cellar or something of the sort. If they’d cut into the floor we’d see some sort of subfloor or concrete....I doubt they laid vinyl tiling over plain dirt(if they did then tbh they deserve what’s comin to them).
