    Hey Giz.

@nocar: :) indeed. I meant that Jesus or Gizmodo can't take credit for this.

    But you don't get credit.

You know what the only thing more boring than Fanboy shit? Supposed Apple backlash shit.

OH good effing grief. I mean, really?

This phone performs better than the previous one at dropping calls.

Not being able to reproduce the issue on every phone sounds consistent with reports. Though I wouldn't be surprised to find out in the end this was the result of some manufacturing "error". That said, the real world effects of this "problem" don't seem to be, well, don't seem to be anything really.

@OreoExplosion: I still don't fully understand the comment system or it's fairness..

Apple wouldn't release it unless it worked better and more consistently then this. They'll leave it to Fring if people want it and Fring will get the flack for it's performance. Makes sense to me.

This story is suspect from it's inebriated emailer, it's being offered for sale to tech blogs, to the line incorrectly attributed to Jobs. Top to bottom it's not something anyone

Gizmodo will publish anything, even a suspect, for sale story like this.

I don't think they're patronizing. If someone came at me with that I might not be so reserved. Let's see how Apple addresses this and then move forward from there. Jobs is right.

So, what we have here is - stop the presses - breakable thing broken to prove its.. breakable. Good grief. Obviously milage may vary. My girlfriend is no friend to her tech, very hard on it, and her first gen iphone and 3gs have survived many cringeworthy drops without a shattered screen. This doesn't take into
