The Taco only gets 24mpg with the hybrid, which is pretty disappointing honestly. The Maverick gets between 35-40mpg and is cheaper to buy

So is my AARP card carrying dad better off with the Tacoma hybrid or a Ford Maverick hybrid that will only see the driveway, grocery stores, and the occasional Lowe’s run for mulch?
“Unless your purchase is primarily dictated by cost . . .” For many, if not most potential buyers, cost IS a big part of the equation, especially when looking at midsize pickups. If funds are virtually unlimited, those lucky buyers will, most likely, be looking at their full-size options.
The stock market is magical spinning bullshit.
I cannot wait for the UAW to start racking up win after win after win across the South. Those workers deserve better; they deserve a union.
“At $469 billion, the company is still valued at more than nine times the market capitalization of General Motors Co. or Ford Motor Co.”
Autonomous Robotaxis- this is how much the US hates the idea of just improving public transit. Like, seriously, you could take a fraction of the amount of cash it will take to develop a functional autonomous taxi and just invest in improved public transit everywhere. Oh look, we’ve made buses and trains and trams and…
I nearly spat out my coffee reading this bit:
“Basically, everyone who really wanted an EV now has one, and the stuff that is being offered right now, especially by Tesla, is not resonating with less affluent and more skeptical consumers. Surely the Robotaxi will fix this.”
#4 should be #1 it is way more important. I hope the UAW steam rolls the south auto plants. No more kids working for KIA and other BS they getting away with.
It’s almost like industry self regulation doesn’t actually produce the best results!
U.S. Capitalism - The insane belief that the nastiest of men for the nastiest of reasons will somehow work for the benefit of us all.
Boeing has always put money before safety. They designed a cargo door in the 70's so they could fit more stuff in the cargo holds. A design that could never fail was a plug door, but those took up valuable cargo space so they re-designed it. When it failed, multiple times, they blamed ground crews. Then in 1989, one…
While my gut is to agree, I can almost guarantee that the societal costs to the rest of us increases because of things like this. Obviously the fatalities have both direct and indirect costs associated with them, but what is left out here is the likely increase in numbers and in severity of injuries. Injuries that…
I sort of agree, but rather than proving you've got insurance before riding dangerously, you should have to prove you're an organ donor.
I have zero sympathy for anyone who’s dumb enough to ride a motorcycle without a helmet. They deserve whatever happens to them.
I’d like to know what types of legal protections are in place for car/truck drivers now that basic protections are being declared optional. Accidents that previously only resulted in injuries are now resulting in deaths on account of motorcycle rider negligence, is that now taken into account when assigning liability…
I’m at a point where I don’t think we should be fighting to keep idiots alive any more.
People that enjoy the new NASCAR with its stages, dont know what racing actually is/was.....
Having dealt with Alex Jones, I would guess that Bankston is aware of what the typical strategy is. People like Musk and Jones are capable of speaking for long periods of time without saying anything of consequence.
Written like a true millennial who wasn’t even born yet when the racing was “real”. Let’s go back to letting them duke it out in the infield, when you could buy on Monday something remotely similar to the car that won the race on Sunday.
