Haven’t you heard? The GOP says the Constitution is now toilet paper.

My Kinja Bingo card:

We need a zero tolerance policy.

Thing is, this business should have been a total no-brainer money-maker. The used car market is ripe for a major roll-up. They could have been Carmax with much lower overhead (no need for large retail shops and lots of sales staff). The whole notion of buying and financing your car hassle-free online, getting it

Hmm... a truck-sized garage would fit more tools right?

2030 ‘Murican dream: McMansion with a high-bay garage for a lifted Freightliner. You’ll always park inside with this house because it has a raised platform beside the driver and passenger doors so you no longer have to climb a ladder to get in/out.

so an ~$750 monthly payment for a family grocery-getter... good grief, what a wonderful world we’re living in

It’s not a problem for them, they just see him as a tool. Or, as Stalin put it, a “useful idiot.”

I never bought into that whole “If you no longer go for a gap...” bullshit that Senna went on about. Go racing, sure, by all means. But don’t be a colossal twat about it.

What bias?

Max was almost a full car length behind on the approach to turn 2 before he lunged it up the inside without a hope of making that corner without using the Merc as a brake. That’s why he got a penalty. Yes Hamilton could’ve given a little bit more room, but the crash was not his fault. Max has a brake pedal too.

Meanwhile, Bottas still flies with Hamilton and the Merc crew from time to time.

Agree wholeheartedly: Context matters.

FWIW, Checo let Max through earlier on to attack Alonso. He could have held him back but was promised the position back if Max couldn’t make it stick (he couldn’t). Checo is a good teammate and significantly better than Max deserves.

Without Checo, last seasons WDC could have wound up being a different story. Max had a choice to solidify a relationship with his teammate based on appreciation and mutual respect that literally would have costed him nothing in terms of his season. Instead, he chose to poison the well. The SEB/WEB debacle ended

There are times where it is beneficial to be a “good teammate” though, and this was certainly one of those times. I agree with your general gist that teammates are competitors first and foremost, but let’s not ignore the benefits to helping your teammate.

I refuse to watch video just so he won’t get more “popular” or profit from it.
But did he actually record that dip as it happened?
I seen some offroad videos and people have all kinds of equipment that makes airplane blockboxes look like medieval toys.
If that guy was serious, there would be measurable data.

The Youtuber is an idiot, but also, these were never seriously intended for baja style off-roading. They’re meant for being parked in the front row by the valets so everyone can admire how much debt you’re in in your quest to look wealthy. This might have more horsepower, but I do not think this would outperform a

I was going to comment on his video, but that would be rewarding the turd for “engagement.” He’s ignorant. He has no clue what off-roading is. His carbon footprint is almost as big as some African counties when you consider what he bought and destroyed in record time (I can guess how much mining, materials transport, r
