It’s obviously a 1963 Pontiac Tempest Convertible. Very likely metallic mint green with a white convertible top....

Exactly. I don’t even see a problem with allowing their personal bodyguards to be there... as long as it’s made clear to them who’s in charge of that space and what the expectations are while they are there using that space to make money as an influencer.

You Have Nailed it. This is about designing things in a way they can be repaired relatively easily and affordably. Right to Repair is a huge issue. Consumer goods are being designed in a way that makes them hard and expensive to repair, in order to dis-incentivize repairs and incentivize replacement.

VW Mk5 and Mk6 Jetta GLI - Turbo downpipe integrates non-replaceable Catalytic converter. The flex section of the downpipe gives-out, and you’re in for a big bill due to the integrated cat. MSRP $1500 USD.

I am really digging this bike. I agree - my only criticism of the bike is that I would like to have seen a twin disc front brake setup. Modern frame with greater lean angle clearances, engine/trans as a stressed member, lighter weight, modern liquid cooled engine with significant improvement in power, this is great

VW GTI Mk7 or Mk6. Checks all the boxes. Manual, fun to drive, powerful yet good fuel economy, great handling, room for friends, room for gear, great looks, good aftermarket. Will give you that smile when you see it parked and while you are driving.

I always thought HD made the mistake of buying into the philosophy of never-ending year-over-year growth to infinity. They got too big for the market. I found a yearly listing of HD production volumes running from the 1930's up to 2009: In 1990 Harley Davidson produced about 62,000 units. By 1995 they were 1t 106,000

The Sportster 1200 for years had the best power-weight ratio across the whole model line.

God Dammit Gump! You must be a God Damn Genius!”

Spot. On.
Here in Canada, you can replace the word “Republican” with the word “Conservative” and the whole article becomes just as relevant for our own political situation despite the differences in our electoral systems. I fear my country is going to head down the same dark road very soon.

The Kodak Problem. Very cool that you called it.

I always pictured HD as having the “GM” problem: Way too many variations of the same bike, and falling behind the rest of the crowd on performance and handling. Too many different models and trims of the same bike, same as Chevy-GMC-Pontiac-Buick-Olds and Cadillac with
