Thanks, I just downloaded & installed it, it lets me start an app based on connecting to a device, but not when bluetooth is turned on (at least the current version). It doesn't automatically connect to a device when bluetooth is turned on.

Depending upon the strap you might scratch your camera. You are better off with even the cheapo straps from meritline or such China Sellers.

You need an arduino just to flash LEDs? A blinker circuit using a 555 timer would be simpler and cheaper. You could make a blinker circuit with even simpler components if you needed.

The zip-ties are going to be thinner than treads on most mountains bikes. This will only help with road bikes with shallow treads with disk brakes - almost no one.

I think it's more about knowing what you want and sticking to it. Just being disagreeable doesn't make you earn more. This looks an example of looking at just one variable and trying to come up with a causation.
