You're absolutely right! There are three categories for CPR and the Heimlich: Infant, Child and Adult. It even breaks down further depending on circumstances, like if they lose consciousness, or then a pulse, the steps you take varies depending on the category. The classes were very long, and you have to take them

Is this a burner? I hope you don't mind, but I checked your comment history, and this was the second comment. Give it a chance.

I am in a pretty good mood today I just got a new job at a surgery center doing what I actually went to school for and it's the first time I'm back in the medical field since I was assaulted by a coworker at my job last year... i feel ready to move on and I'm trying c to put the past behind me I'm finally off my anti

It's the camera on my cell phone, which is an LG G3. It's 13-megapixel, so the file size is ridiculous, but I've been impressed with the quality of photo compared to my previous phones.

that's literally my dream house! Congrats! Any chance you can post some pics and make me die of envy?

I don't understand...you didn't know how to book a flight without asking your father? And you're a university student?

Check out Charity Watch- they review and research a lot of the charities out there so that you can be informed!

I would secretly tithe into your own personal human fund, aka the getting my own place eventually fund.

I just made my first meme and I want to share.

So... I bought my first house this week (sort of). It's actually a trailer... a very nice trailer, so don't judge. I saw it on Craigslist, and it was totally adorable when I went to see it in person, and decided to take the plunge. I'll need to pay a lot rent but after it's all said and done, I've essentially cut my

I would sell it to the Russians.

Speaking of, Lana should be here!

Hospital obgyn here who knows/cares nothing about hospital bureaucracy or financial incentives for things. What I can say though, is that patients are not the best advocates of their own care quite often. This goes for pregnancy, child vaccinations, dermatological issues, pain administration, ANYTHING YOU CAN THINK

Oh yeah, they do all kinds of miraculous things in the delivery room. My sister had her first son stuck and there was a significant risk of shoulder dysphasia. After multiple hours of pushing, to no avail, she had a c-section. Unfortunately for her and the position of the baby, she had to have the dreaded vertical

I don't think CPS actually was aware of it (until now), since it was being used as a threat.

You need to go read about failed-VBAC c-sections. This isn't "you've been pushing 30 hours and there's fetal distress", this is "your uterus has ruptured and you're delivering the baby into your abdominal cavity, where it's being brain-damaged and it's one hell of a mess." It's a much uglier situation and a much more

She's not saying she doesn't want to have a c-section. She's saying that she will consent if it becomes medically necessary. The point, which you are (i think intentionally) missing, is that she is asking that she be able to try and if that fails then rely on a c-section. C-sections are supposed to be a secondary

They can fire her as a patient without trying to usurp her parental rights. They also don't have to threaten to strap her to a table against her will if she doesn't comply. All of those things were seriously fucked up.
