I know in my heart that you’re right. One day I’ll feel financially stable enough, and that’ll be me.

Strange.

But surely it’s the same effect as applying brake while not holding throttle. If you want to slow the car down and/or shift the weight forward, physics says braking does that. Accelerating at the same time is just needless wear

I’m not sure about way less effective than heel-toe. They’re for different purposes. Heel-toe isn’t for controlling the nose through a corner, you don’t really get that much finesse. It’s more for blipping the throttle between shifts.

I can see how this gives quicker movement to and from the brakes.

This is a repeat! I’m sure of it!

I don’t want to make too much out of a single video. But I got the same impression. She sounds awful.

I think you’d be surprised what’s available outside the US ;)

Is a 26 year old Camry worth $1500 in this condition? Who the hell would pay it for a Yugo?

Not sure about it. Not enough wagon. It’s barely different to the original car, what is it 1L of extra space?

I think if the 86 were selling better they’d be all about it.

The crazy door-handles are a rare example of concept-car-flair making it to production! Give them that :)

Sounds like a good book! I’m hopeful they’ll bring it back, and if the whole industry’s shift since the 370Z is to be believed, it will be smaller displacement and lighter.

You think so? I’d say the single defining characteristic of the Fiero is its mid-engine-ness.

And look where it got them :( They’re around, but for how long?

That’s more like it! But of course the 2-seater 300ZX is lighter - the Supra and Mitsu are 2+2. And the more directly comparable 2+2 300ZX is likely the heaviest of the bunch.

I think they shaped the car to make those all important American sales. It was no longer the poster boy lightened weapon, but it sold well, consistently outselling the Supra, RX7 and 3000GT. It also outlived them all - these “stumbles” are probably the reason Nissan still sells the Z today.

This isn’t necessarily a true or fair comparison. There are hundreds of kilos difference between a manual, NA, two seater slick top and the full fat auto, turbo, 2+2 targa.

The 300ZX actually continued to 2000 in Japan. You can import one to Australia if you jump through some hoops (including living in Japan and owning the car there for a year). Thus, owing also to low production numbers, they’re rare as hen’s teeth.
