This car was vaporware from the start, along with the other 4 “new Lotus models” Bahar announced. He had no intention of building them, he squandered Lotus’ money, he almost destroyed the company. Just so he could be seen announcing a big boy plan with flashy cars.

Something similar happened when you finish Daggerfall. You have a number of choices of endings depending on how you play. They chose to fit that in the canon as-is: all of them happened.

I’ve seen this car in the flesh a bunch of times, it’s currently living at Holden HQ in Melbs:

a game in which dungeons often had actual unique loot instead of automatic leveled crap, and which often had non-linear routes and hidden areas that you’d probably never find until subsequent playthroughs.

There was the infamous Scroll of Icarian Flight you can find right at the start - gives you disgusting jumping power, but nothing to help the landing.
