I really like these, front and back. You posted the worst version there is - base-spec and US-spec - but the more premium models came out better. It’s a stubby little RWD I6, what’s not to like?

Which is fine if:

That’s fair enough. I feel the same way about certain games that announce huge procedurally generated worlds. Some people beg for the whole Elder Scrolls world in a single game, but it’s just too much. Skyrim’s size was a good one - you can sink a few hundred hours, still not quite see everything, but it’s not so big

Why do they announce it as “Fall”? The game is coming out worldwide in Q3 next year, but it won’t be Fall everywhere in the world. In Australia we don’t call it Fall, and the game is coming out for us in Spring.

You wax lyrical about the mouse, which is fair enough, but not so much the keyboard. And there’s a reason for that. The keyboard is shit. It’s the mouse’s ugly friend which is unfortunately along for the ride. It’s a flat deck of dozens of identical buttons - an ergonomic nightmare. Keyboards have no pressure

My ‘90 MR2 has that in spades!

This is absurd. There are a prominent group of people out there who idolize the Japanese, and they’re the ones doing this. Anime is anime regardless of who makes it, just like every single other genre of television, movie, book, music. It is what it is because of what it is, not who made it.

You didn’t believe the hype? Even a little? You gotta believe in things, man...

I watched the gif maybe 5 times, but the video really got me. The breathing, man.

That’s insanity! Even with the water in there, I’d expect it to be so foamy and aerated it wouldn’t necessarily save him. Proved me wrong, lol

Why’s he wearing headphones? This game is an ad for Pewdiepie

4G63 you say? Swap in a 4G63T from an Evo 6 and you’re set!

Is that not the essence of multiplayer? You have offline gameplay, with realistic people and vehicles acting in a realistic (scripted) manner. Then you go online and cars are lagging down the street, people are jumping and strafing like no man ever would, and dying/respawning is just another gameplay element.

Good footage. But if he’d stayed in the truck, he’d probably only have whiplash if even. Almost seems a shame to make it out last-second like a hero, when you would’ve survived anyway!

I have to say most of those things aren’t likely. Not sure what the explanation is, but how do you blow the engine while you’re on the tracks? Of all the thousands of kilometers the truck covers each day, how does it break right there?

The multiple characters thing is a good idea - it does make it feel less like you’re a 1 man army. But I think it could be refined. I think it’s still easy to detach, to feel more like you as the player are unstoppable, though you transition through multiple NPCs. It feels a bit like Driver SF or an RTS, where you’re s

If this is what Red Bull call marketing, holy shit more please.

I agree! Still a great video, but knowing he messed up a few times makes the whole thing feel more real

Since when did “news” become about recording people’s reactions to a video? Just tell the damn story!

They almost did a 3rd game, but I guess free roamers started to die out. I played the first game a lot but never finished it, it was too goddam hard.
