For some reason this is just hideous. That silly little side vent. Those wheels that look ridiculous with the bodykit. The color is bland and does nothing for the car. The head/taillights look incredibly dated.

17 years? That’s 1998, what happened in ‘98?

Zeds in Australia too :)

Except for the steering wheel!? Wasn't that thing lifted from the 918? I was fully hoping it would be the best thing about the car. When is later!?

Squiggly lines seems to be a recurring theme in modern car design. Curiously, it seems Hyundai started it a few years back and informed the rest of the world.

Underpowered engines? Seriously? Welcome to every French car ever.

But you wouldn’t call them out for being outdated simply because they lack the power to weight ratio of the SRT4 would you?

I think they’re just still struggling with the past. Their problem now is that they keep telling us about cars they aren’t ready to build yet - this and the new NSX. That’s how badly they let things slide in the last decade - now they’re desperate to fix it and build some sporty cars, but just don’t have the products

Doesn’t matter. ‘Muricans will be ‘Muricans.

SILEIGHTY!

300ZX wheel?

Some cars aren’t about power. How does the MX-5/Miata rate to your SRT-4?

I think Gordon Murray fits that description. Very creative guy, his Mclaren F1 is still considered the best by many. Now he’s applying his talents to city cars...and seems to be constantly at the very back of the industry’s collective attention. Strange.

Reading below it started with a 60s straight 6. The 2JZ is literally the best thing to ever happen to this Mustang. Deal

What are you saying, it was better off with the turbo four? The 2JZ is a very robust engine capable of huge numbers. Get over it.

I completely disagree! It still has that hardened stare that only a 90s BMW will give you. Yeah, you could call the back cute, because it’s small. But small and cute aren’t the same thing, and this is all angles.

The first gen 6-series came out 17 years before this car

I do agree about the E46 being much nicer looking.

I guess. I think they look pretty good. Maybe the doors themselves should be a little longer, but otherwise it’s all the angular-coupey-short-wheelbase stuff you’d expect.

So often these sorts of conversions go awry. Rather than OEM bits, half the car is made after-market, and you get something that’s closer to rice than the faithful convert that was originally visioned. This one seems to have been executed flawlessly, right down to the M-ish interior bits (rather than covering
