I think Peugeot would tell you the Exalt informed the design of the current 508. They just toned it down to the point where it may as well not exist.

That is a funny one. Not a coupe, not a sedan.

Ask anyone in Germany and they'll tell you there are 4 door coupes. Because they like splitting niches into niches. Doesn't change the fact that coupe means 2 door.

Very good point.

This is what I got out of the article as well. Cars that sold worse than the Mirage:

Sure, they used to use straight-sixes. But that was more for the smoothness, yes? Wouldn't it be fair to say they moved to the V6 because it's more compact, and these days can be just as smooth? So what's the point of going back to the straight-six? Nostalgia?

Growing a pair means spending money on lawyers. Who do you think has more money, Aston or the VW group?

I find it loathsome that the title of this post had to mention "2 door coupe". There shouldn't be any other kind of coupe! The marketers are winning...

Anytime you see one of these that's even a little bit modified, you have to wonder if it's just a 318 with badging. Keep it stock, people

Have you seen the Top Gear special "the worst car in the world"? Spoiler alert, this was it.

Fair enough

I think they have a habit of demonstrating their styling direction with a supercar before applying it to their road cars. It's actually a pretty cool approach, but the long list of beautiful concepts that never get built is maddening.

I don't think it's correct to say he made it as powerful as possible. I believe he set a power requirement, and the engine BMW provided exceeded what he wanted. Which was fine of course.

Oh I see what you mean. Yes, that's a good point.

I'm not sure I agree with you. It's still something they do, there are still heaps of Skylines, heaps of MX5s, etc. They just don't bother to do it with non Japanese cars. Also, often the versions we got really weren't worth it. Like the American and Japanese versions of the exact same car. Same model, same specs,

The Zama facility, along with countless other treasures.

Uncollectable judgment? Does this mean, to put it bluntly, that poor people can get away with selling stolen cars on Craigslist?

I guess if you can have tail fins on a road car, you can rally a Lamborghini.

As an Australian, this is one sort of car we never had and I don't understand at all. Particularly the emphasis on the "shifter". Does Hurst just refer to the shape of the stick coming out of the slushbox? Why does that matter!?

How much did he spend modifying this car? And how much did his mods devalue the car? I just can't fathom how someone would burn so much money, just to prove to the world that their black-on-black makes them Darth Vader and they prefer bass to actual music.
